In this room, we remember whose we are.
In this room, we consider who we'll be.
We are centered in the grace of God and partners in shalom;
In this room we will know that we are home.
In this word, we will hear what God has done.
In this word, we find hope for what will be.
The unwinding of the story is the blueprint of our lives,
In this word, God is opening our eyes.
[optional communion verse]
In this bread, we're sustained by God's great love.
In this bread, we are joined as family.
Generations gather silently to share one holy feast;
In this bread, we have everything we need.
In this moment our deepest cries are heard.
In this moment our joy flows out as song:
These harmonies of faith now join the ever-sounding hymn;
In this moment, we sing God's praise again.
In this room, truth and mercy come to meet.
In this room, peace and righteousness may kiss.
Though we're broken and imperfect we are partners in shalom;
Sent to find the suff'ring places, making peace and bearing hope--
healed and humbled we'll go out from this room.
